How the Columns Was Made

This is a photo of the iconic Univ of Missouri columns on the Red Campus. It was about 10 a.m. on Feb 5. The sun is hidden behind the right most column.
The photo was cropped and digitally massaged, resulting in this fauxtograph. A number of note cards were made of this image and given out to worthy people.
Using a Wacom display, a line drawing was made to serve as the wire pattern. The picture was then enlarged to about 200% down at Kinko's. The enlarged drawing served as the template for the wire...in this case, coat hangers.
Completed piece. The tan behind the wire is a Ralph Lauren River Rock paint. This photo was then digitally massaged and the result is the image on the refering page... I think the digital image is much more interesting than this photo....
