The original table that I used as a pattern is on the
right. The two copies use mortise and tenon joints instead of dowels
that were used on the original. The table on the left has a reddish
antique cherry stain with a polyurethane topcoat. The middle table
has a brown stain with polyurethane topcoat. All-in-all I made four
copies, each with a slightly different shade of stain. The wood is
premavera. |

The table is premavera. Red-brown stain with poly
topcoat. The drawer has handcut covetails on front and back.
Notice the breadboard tip with square pins of walnut. |

The Stickley stool is the same wood and finish as the
project above. The cushion is removable whereas the Stickley #300
had a leather top. Notice the thru tenons on the legs. |

I call this my 'trailer chic travel case.' I built it
as an experiment in making boxes with tops. Notice the half inch box
joints on the corners. The fabric was bought at a thrift
store. You can't tell from this view, but I originally mistakenly
put the latch hardware on the left side due to a temporary lapse in brain
function.. |
