The North Village Artwalk was an evening event following the annual Fall Columbia Festival of the Arts. Although given almost no media coverage, other than a little blurb in the Columbia Tribune insert about the Festival of the Arts, we had about 50 or so people come by our exhibit in the parking lot of the Auto Radio business on N. 10th Street. We were all set up at 4 and a few minutes later a strong wind came up and blew one of my easels, with art attached, over into my other easel, breaking the easel apart and scattering my stuff all over. Certainly a tramatic sight on my part, but some bystanders and Artwalk officials seemed far more upset than I with the crash.... I chalked it all up as 'poop happens' and went ahead.... most later observers didn't even notice the broken easel and none of my pieces showed any real damage...
